Rally Day Postcard – October 1927

This is the first blog post I’ve done since last Father’s Day–and I have no story or tragedy or struggle or anything to explain or excuse that.  I could say what I’ve been doing or try to fill in the silent 15 months but I have a truth for you.  It doesn’t matter.  It doesn’t matter what you’ve done or been.  It doesn’t matter your intentions or your actions.  The only fact that matters is that you are here.

I think that is God’s perspective as well.  Anything that has been done or said is forgiven.  What matters is you are here.

Malachi 3:2-3 (NIV)

But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness,

Proverbs 27:12 (NIV)

12 The prudent see danger and take refuge,
but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.

Luke 12:5 (NIV)

But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.

John 18:9 (NIV)

This happened so that the words he had spoken would be fulfilled: I have not lost one of those you gave me.

Philippians 4:19 (NIV)

19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Acts 9:3 (NIV)

As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.

It doesn’t matter where you’ve been—-but it’s good when you get back.
